Dr. Bowles is a Professor of History at the American Military University. As a NASA historian, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) awarded him their prize for the best historical book in 2004, 2005, and 2010.
He holds four university degrees, including a Ph.D. in History from Case Western Reserve University, an MBA in Technology Management, a Master's in History, and a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Akron.
He has written over 20 books, including the journey of the youngest person to solo row the Atlantic Ocean, the First NFL Season, and three college-level textbooks (Digital Literacy, U.S. History since 1865, and A Global History of Science.
His current project involves collaborating with a physician to publish a book about her research on the incorporeal mummies of Guanajuato, Mexico.
And he loves pyramids.
